CONSPIRACY-MINDED PRISONER TO BE DRUGGED
Aaron Gomes, "a Connecticut man with a psychotic disorder," claims that police planted a handgun on him as part of a government conspiracy. It has been decided that he is unfit to stand trial, and the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that Gomes can be forced to take brain meds to make him competent enough to go before the court. Gomes believes this is all to make him less likely to argue the conspiracy theory; Judge Dennis Jacobs believes he will have a clear mind from which to choose his defense.
