OPERATION DEATH WORM
A group of English scientists are going to spend a month in the Gobi desert in search of the Mongolian Death Worm. Also known as allghoi khorkhoi, the blood red creature is said to be able to spit an acidic yellow substance and can generate blasts of electricity strong enough to kill a camel. The deathworm lurks beneath the sand and only comes out at certain times during the year.

The group, from the Exeter-based Centre for Fortean Zoology, will be blogging their results as they go, and at last post, were about to leave for the airport with bags packed.

COMMENTS

I wish the crew of scientists best of luck in their search for this elusive death worm. Would like to follow their progress daily.
Best wishes.
