UPDATE ON STRANGE BOAT IN PORTLAND

This strange-looking, 180-foot offshore supply ship, named The Sage, showed up in the Portland Ocean Terminal. Rumors began circulating around the docks that the boat was there to monitor the space shuttle Discovery launch next month. Making things more mysterious, the captain of the ship remained mum and ordered that no one be allowed near his vessel.

The Portland Press Herald has since surmised that the ship was in port to track the launch of a Titan rocket Thursday evening, which carried a military satelite into orbit. The Sage left port Wednesday, and hasn't been seen since.
