"WEIRD FLORDIA" COMING OUT THIS MONTH
This month, the publishers behind the WEIRD line of books (Weird New Jersey probably being the most popular) are putting out a Florida edition for the series, written by 10th generation Floridian Charlie Carlson. Carlson tackles everything, from UFO encounters (supposedly Richard Nixon took Jackie Gleason to the Florida Homestead Air Force Base to see the preserved remains of extra-terrestrials) to stories of the skunk ape, Florida's own version of Bigfoot. The book retails for $19.95.

Sun-Sentinel: Florida author explores the offbeat critters and characters that litter the state's history
Barnes & Noble: Weird Florida ($19.95)

COMMENTS

Weird Florida is absolutely the best book about Florida's bizarre side. It is the only hardback weird florida book that I know of and has a tremendous following. I want to thank you for mentioning it because this is where I heard about it. Every ghost hunter, ufo buff, weirdo, oddity lover, to lost history lover should have this book, its filled with bizarre photographs and the best thing is the price is right too. Thanks
