EGYPTIAN TOMB DANGERS
When King Tut's tomb was opened in 1922, British sponsor Lord Carnarvon died shortly after visiting, causing some to speculate that he was the first victim of Tutankhamen's Curse. Some researchers now speculate that Egyptian tombs carry a host of dangerous substances (though it is unlikely Carnarvon died from any of them). Recent lab studies have shown that mummies carry at least two potentially harmful molds, which could prove fatal to someone with a weakened immune system. Tomb walls are also often covered in bacteria that attacks the lungs, while dangerous gases can build up inside sarcophagi.
