In light of our link to the National Geographic story regarding Tut's curse, did you ever hear about the cursed mummy of Amen-Ra? Since being dug up by four Englishmen in the 1890's, terrible misfortune has followed all who come near her. The four men who dug her up died in mysterious ways shortly after. The mummy arrived in London, where it was bought by a businessman. Shortly after, the man's house burned down and three family members were hurt in an auto accident. It was donated to the British museum, but when being unloaded from a cart, those helping suffered strange illness and death. When it was finally put into the Egyptian wing of the museum, guards frequently reported strange noises and wailing coming from the mummy. Eventually, they put it up for sale, and it was bought by an American archaeologist who put it on a boat bound for America. The name of the boat? The RMS Titanic.
Great story.
It's fake.
