Closed for the past 18 years, a reputedly haunted cave network called Ruakuri in Waitomo, NZ, will reopen next week for visitors. Local legend has it that the cave is haunted, and as recently as last year, a member of the company reopening the cave claims to have felt asphyxiated while inside. Manager Robert Tahi dismisses such claims as nonsense, suggesting that the noises some visitors hear have more to do with the networks of rivers and waterfalls that flow within the caves.Strangewire.com
