LONDON "MONSTER" MIGHT JUST BE TURTLE

Earlier this week, we reported on a creature in east London's Lea River that had supposedly eaten a Canada goose in full sight of several boat trippers. Stories also went around amongst the local fishermen of dogs disappearing, and rumors began to spread that a crocodile had found a new home in urban England. Now, zoologists believe it might be nothing more than a snapping turtle, which can grow up to 6 feet long. The river is the perfect setting for it to thrive in, and accounts for the various reports of missing animals (the dog stories might be a bit exagerated...).
