NEW MONSTER IN MACHADO LAKE
Last Friday, a park ranger for Machado Lake, north of San Pedro, California, spotted a strange creature rise up from the water briefly. Reports came in from other wintesses, and soon authorities had cobbled together a description of a scaly green creature, 6 to 8 feet long, and weighing nearly 200 pounds. They suspect it to be a spectacled caiman, a crocodile from Central and South America. As usual, they revert to the old urban legend of a pet owner no longer wanting to keep his croc/aligator after it grew too large.
