Here's a great archtypal UFO story which celebrated its 40 year anniversary yesterday. In 1965, trucker Don Tennopir was driving his rig through Nebraska when he spotted a strange orange UFO "shooting off red rays." The UFO came up in front of the truck, then stopped, forcing Tennopir off the road. For the next 30 seconds, it simply hovered up the road, then took off. Says Tennopir: "I ground gears, and I haven't done that in years, and got the hell out of there." The truck driver drove 25 miles to Abilene, where he reported the story to police.
