THE CASE OF THE ELGIN MONKEY

Residents of an Elgin, Illinois apartment complex have been seeing a creature they describe as a 4-foot tall monkey in the woods. The first reports came to police on Sunday, who investigated and ultimately found nothing. On Monday, an animal control officer met with several more witnesses, all of whom offered the same description. Police were planning to another search Wednesday night; no word on the outcome. So far, no missing monkeys have been reported.
