British hacker Gary McKinnon, currently fighting extradition to the U.S. on charges that he hacked into 97 different military computers, has claimed he was looking for evidence of a UFO cover-up and became sidetracked by testing the limits of the network's security. Why didn't he get much farther in his quest for UFO info? He was using a 56K dial-up connection. He started by hacking into NASA's Johnson Space Center, where he found "folders full of megabytes of images but I could not transfer them as I was only using a 56k modem," he says.
