SCIENTISTS TO HUNT BIGFOOT IN MALAYSIA
Over the past few weeks, "Bigfoot fever" has swept across Malaysia as several witnesses have claimed sightings of the elusive beast. One local of the area reported seeing a 10-foot tall ape-like creature in the southern state of Johor. The sightings wound up headlining the front pages of several newspapers. The government has since assigned two teams of scientists to investigate the Endau-Rompin national park, where the creature was spotted. "Natives who live in the jungle have seen it for generations and their legends call it the 'snaggle-toothed ghost'," said one resident.

Meanwhile, China has temporarily closed parts of a nature reserve where numerous tourists come each year in hopes of seeing Bigfoot. There is a $60,000 reward for the capture of the so-called "yeren."
