The Chandratal lake, located 15,000 feet above sea level in the glaciated mountains of India, has always had a few legends attached to it. According to the ancient stories, fairies descend upon it on moonlit nights. Legend may have become truth on September 27th, 2004, when a team of scientists encountered a strange, color-changing, balloon-like creature that moved toward the scientists, then changed directions and disappeared. Photographs and videos were taken, and both the Indian Space Research Organization and the army are looking into it.
