Ghost hunters are gearing up for Edinburgh's annual 10 day ghost festival in May. Among the locations for overnight ghost vigils this year will be Mary King's Close, a 17th century labyrinth beneath the City Chambers which was closed between 1644 and 1646 due to plague. Over the years, people have supposedly witnessed spirits of both an eight year old girl and a well-dressed woman there, both of whom are believed to have died in the plague.
