The space travel agency, Space Adventures, has announced that its first space port will be based in the United Arab Emirates. This is only the first of several planned space ports, others of which may be placed in Asia (Singapore was mentioned specifically) and North America, at a total cost of $265 million. The sub-orbital flights send passengers 60 miles above the Earth's surface, at a price tag of over $100,000. So far, Space Adventures has sent three customers into space. According to president and CEO, Eric Anderson: "Suborbital flights will offer millions of people the opportunity to experience the greatest adventure available, space travel."
