NEW TOMB FOUND IN VALLEY OF THE KINGS
An American team from the University of Memphis has discovered an intact tomb in the Valley of the Kings, the first found since the 1922 Tutankhamun discovery. The tomb, which dates back to the 18th dynasty (1567 BC to 1320 BC), contains five sacophagi, though they are not necessarily of royalty. The bodies were apparently buried "rapidly," according to a statement from the Egyptian government.
