I love watching news reports on ghost hunts, because usually the group involved is so happy to actually get some recognition that they go overboard in acting like experts on the subject matter. Anyway, a realtor in central Florida was having trouble selling a reputedly haunted house. Going against conventional wisdom, she decided to advertise the home as having its own spiritual resident, and attracted the attention of the local news. Local 6 did a story, in which former residents reported seeing doors and cabinets open and close at will, while a penny is said to have moved mysteriously from one location to another.
The Peace River Ghost Trackers went in, broke out the EMF detectors, the infrared cameras, the voice activated sound recorders, the temperature guages, and....nothing. There's a really lame video up on the site in which a fly passes in front of the camera and it's suggested that it could possibly be an orb. They're also listening to their steady tapes of ambient noise hoping to hear something. Check out their site for some great pictures of nothing, my favorite being the camera strap that fell in front of the lens identified as a "vortex." Look, SW wants to believe too, but lose your objectivity and you're just another nut on the street.
