UFOlogist Steven Greer was on Coast to Coast last night claiming that SETI has been witholding evidence of high concentration signals from space. According to Greer, the signals were then blocked from SETI by a human source. SETI was innundated with emails and phone calls today looking for more information on the alleged cover-up, which they deny exists.
If you know anything about SETI, you know it's the type of group that has been desperately looking for any miniscule bump of an iota of a signal that could possibly lend some sort of legitimacy to the millions of dollars spent each year on the search. So it comes as highly suspect that they'd suddenly be in on the Great Big Conspiracy.
Also, it appears that Greer is the CEO of Space Energy Access Systems, a "company" whose goal is to create various machines that generate "more electric power than is required to operate." It's also cute because this physics law-defying mission statement is followed by the Margaret Mead quote, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Sadly, small groups of insane people tend to not get far.
