The Memory Hole, a website dedicated to locating secretive government documents, posted the indexes from Cryptologic Quarterly, Cryptologic Almanac, Cryptologic Spectrum and NSA Technical Journal last Monday. Never heard of these journals? Of course not - they're highly classified for NSA employees only. The Memory Hole guys were smart, though, and filed Freedom of Information for the indexes, which have released. Here are some thought-provoking titles:
-"Meteor Burst Communications: An Ignored Phenomenon?"
-"NSA in the Cyberpunk Future"
-"Telephone Codes and Safe Combinations: A Deadly Duo"
-"I Was a Cryptologic Corporal"
-"Inference and Cover Stories"
-"Communication With Extraterrestrial Intelligence" (this document has been released)
Sadly, we'll probably never get the original copies - FOIA docs always come out with the good bits removed. But it does fuel the imagination.
