TWO WOMEN, ONE IDENTITY
Madeleine Paule Helene Mores is an 82 year old French woman. She was born on November 6, 1924, at Tellancourt (north-east France) to Albert Mores and his wife Anna. She has a passport, identity cards, pay slips, and a birth certificate to prove her identity.

Except, there are two Madeleine Paule Helene Mores'. Not only do they share the same name, they each appear to share identical histories and have legitimate evidence to prove their claims. The mystery arose when one of the Madelines returned to France from Algeria, where she had been living since the 1960's. She was denied an identification card, as one with that information had already given to someone with her name. To make matters worse, that person had been collecting pension benefits, preventing the other from doing so until the mess is cleaned up.

Both women were adopted, and the easiest possibility would be a case of bad administrative record-keeping. Even stranger, they both appear in a photograph taken in 1940, though neither remembers the circumstances.
