The Seven Sisters is an unusual, 40-foot boat with two outriggers owned by Tom Kardos of Aliso Viejo, California. Locals at his yacht club refer to it as the "Back to the Future boat." Not only does it go faster and weigh far less than most boats its size, it also has unique energy sources and water-catching methods. Also, it was apparently built from extra-terrestrial guidance.
According to local legend, the name "Seven Sisters" springs from the star cluster known as the Pleiades in the Taurus constellation - a location some will recognize as the alleged home to one or more extra-terrestrial species. Kardos believes the builder may have received the blueprints telepathically, and that the boat's design may have been given to help us survive a post-apocalyptic Earth. Says Kardos: "A family to go out at sea and, if there were a lot of boats like this in the future, like one per family, to live at sea for a prolonged time if land was contaminated." All he is looking do for the moment, however, is rent out the boat when he's not using it.
