The man at the center of the only official UFO police investigation in Britain has died at 89. Bob Taylor, a forestry worker, was 61 when he was walking his dogs in Dechmont Law, a hill in Scotland. He claims to have come upon a large spherical metal craft about 20 feet in diameter. As he got closer, two smaller spheres, each about 3 feet wide with metal spikes, dropped from the main ship and came rolling toward him. They latched onto his pants, and he passed out after smelling an acrid odor. Police later found marks on the ground that seemed to correspond to his story.
