Professor Esmail Zanjani, from the University of Nevada, has spent seven years and over $5 Million perfecting the science, which involves injecting adult human cells into a sheep's fetus. Zanjani's hope is to create an animal that is just human enough to allow for organ transplants, which could save countless lives. Bob Taylor, a forestry worker, was 61 when he was walking his dogs in Dechmont Law, a hill in Scotland. He claims to have come upon a large spherical metal craft about 20 feet in diameter. As he got closer, two smaller spheres, each about 3 feet wide with metal spikes, dropped from the main ship and came rolling toward him. They latched onto his pants, and he passed out after smelling an acrid odor. Police later found marks on the ground that seemed to correspond to his story. Up till his death, Taylor firmly defended what he had seen.

These urban legends are incredibly common for major companies, and have appeared in numerous forms over the years. Weird thing is, Proctor and Gamble actually seems to care, and today won a lawsuit against Amway employees for spreading false rumors about their ties to Satanism. Amway employees. Yeah. They were awarded $19 million, though I seriously doubt they're going to get that. Maybe they're hoping for these rumors to die once and for all. It is incredible that they kept fighting the case to the bitter end...perhaps they had help from a certain someone...

Here are two neat UFO/alien videos that have hit YouTube and are probably outrageously old and over-discussed at this point.

The first is a video taken with a cell phone of two boys in Mexico playing soccer. The ball rolls away, and one of the boys goes to get it. As he passes by a telephone pole (12 seconds in), a creature sticks its head out and extends a very long arm to touch him. It's a little hard to see (back away from your monitor for the full effect), but still fun to watch. Some people claim the boys admitted it was a hoax, while others say they continue to maintain it's legitimacy. Decide for yourself. Very reminiscent of the alien home video footage in the movie Signs.

This is the second incident of this sort for the area in the past month, and police are investigating. In both cases, the killer murdered the animal, then sliced off her teats individually (in one instance, the ears were also removed).

Meanwhile, across the pond, the owner of a stud farm in Scotland has had 27 of her horses' manes and tails cut off by unknown assailants. Granted, just about every structure older than last year seems to have a resident spirit in England, but who knows? This one is allegedly haunted by the Black Lady, who was first seen by workmen during restoration work on the castle in the early 19th Century. She was described as a tall, shadowy figure dressed in mourning clothes. Regardless of the legend, the building itself is pretty cool and another reminder of how much I'd love a wealthy benefactor to pay for, er, a ghost hunting excursion across England.

Here's a forgotten incident in UFO lore. On June 6, 1884 near Dundy County, Nebraska, John Ellis, three of his herdsmen and several cowboys were rounding up the herd when they heard a strange noise overhead. Looking up, they saw a "blazing body" fall to Earth, splitting the ground. Herdsman Alf Williamson was burned as he approached the object, and was taken back to Ellis' home and treated for burns.

Most interesting: A piece recovered from the wreckage resembled "the blade of a propeller screw...about 16 inches wide, three inches thick and three-and-a-half feet long," yet did not weigh more than five pounds, but seemed as strong as any metal." Another object was found with similar properties. Very little is known about the incident.

A week ago, The Bridlington Free Press ran a story about David Hinde, a man who claimed to have seen UFOs while he drove toward his home in Bempton on March 1. The objects consisted of two glowing spherical objects, red and orange in color, which moved independently in all directions though remained close together. The sighting was confirmed by Stephen Dyes, who saw similar lights in the sky that night.

Since running the story, the paper has received numerous corroborations about the events of March 1. Donald Rogers, 70, saw the lights from his home. Connie Shepley, 73, saw two orange lights hovering over a gas station and claims they were not planes, having previously worked at the Manchester Airport. William Lester, 61, and his brother-in-law saw the phenomenon at 8:30pm, and says they didn't appear to be any kind of aircraft. The next day, more sightings followed.
