Their servers were flooded with visitors, to the point that they abruptly went down shortly after the announcement hit the news. Now the site is back up, but I can't tell what's going on since it's all in French, and our Strangewire French office isn't picking up the phone. If you happen to know, email us please! Supposedly, it's a very interesting read...

These urban legends are incredibly common for major companies, and have appeared in numerous forms over the years. Weird thing is, Proctor and Gamble actually seems to care, and today won a lawsuit against Amway employees for spreading false rumors about their ties to Satanism. Amway employees. Yeah. They were awarded $19 million, though I seriously doubt they're going to get that. Maybe they're hoping for these rumors to die once and for all. It is incredible that they kept fighting the case to the bitter end...perhaps they had help from a certain someone...

First off, a Lee County, Virginia farmer is offering $500 for information about the mutilation and killing of one of his cows this past weekend. This is the second incident of this sort for the area in the past month, and police are investigating. In both cases, the killer murdered the animal, then sliced off her teats individually (in one instance, the ears were also removed).
Meanwhile, across the pond, the owner of a stud farm in Scotland has had 27 of her horses' manes and tails cut off by unknown assailants. The attacks have recurred over the past few months, with no new information. Four years ago, a number of similar cases in various parts of north-east Scotland were linked to an occult, black magic ritual.

Most interesting: A piece recovered from the wreckage resembled "the blade of a propeller screw...about 16 inches wide, three inches thick and three-and-a-half feet long," yet did not weigh more than five pounds, but seemed as strong as any metal." Another object was found with similar properties. Very little is known about the incident.

Since running the story, the paper has received numerous corroborations about the events of March 1. Donald Rogers, 70, saw the lights from his home. Connie Shepley, 73, saw two orange lights hovering over a gas station and claims they were not planes, having previously worked at the Manchester Airport. William Lester, 61, and his brother-in-law saw the phenomenon at 8:30pm, and says they didn't appear to be any kind of aircraft. The next day, more sightings followed.
